Assalamualaikum,
Sometimes
in life, we have to sacrifice something in order to move on with our life.
Sometimes, that ‘something’ we sacrifice might be our bestest thing that we got
in life. In order to move on, we have to accept the fact that we are
sacrificing something in our life to achieve something better. Well, it doesn’t
have to be an ‘official’ ritual to sacrifice , sometimes, by saying ‘Goodbye’ , it too, can mean that we are
sacrificing.
Every Hello ends with a Goodbye
That is
one of the lines in Demi Lovato’s song that I’ve been listening to. It’s Catch Me sang by herself.
Today,
exactly the same date and the same time, 10th November 2012 at 2:30am,
I left a friend, a best one, to pursue his dreams. He’s a Form 5 student in my
school and has been a very good listener and also a very good suggester to me.
He was the one who helped me in my AddMaths, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and
Sejarah. How I still remembered that night before I sit for my Sejarah final
year exam, I sat at the back of surau, studying with him. He told me everything
that I should know about Renaissance and
Reformation. Well, he’s been the top
student in my school, always been the Top 3 student. Oh, his name is Wan Hafizan bin Wan Zukefli.
Let me
tell you a bit of the story. I met him when I was in Form 1 at STAR as a junior
in Malay Debate. He was the one who guide me through everything. Well, then it
comes to UKM tournament. That moment, I was offered to be the debater in the
Swing Team. He told me to be one and I got it. I was the 3rd speaker
in the team and in my first tournament, I was announced as the Best Speaker in
the round. He was proud that I was once his apprentice in debate. Then, it
comes to Form 3. I was struggling for my PMR. I left debate as how I left
everything except my education. But it didn’t mean that I didn’t come back to
debate, he asked me to come back and I did. I did improve a bit but I lost
everything. He was the one who told me to stay strong. I did and I am now
strong. When it comes to Form 4, he guide me through everything to become a
best Form 4 student eventhough I was not the best. But now, it’s time for him
to continue and pursue his dreams. Good luck in SPM, Wan !
Life in
boarding school is like water was dropped out from a straw, when we blow it, it
scatters everywhere. Some of them meets but some of them didn’t.
Sincerely,
Eyman Asyraf Masfazil
